Kicking off the holiday season is the annual Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Clock Tower Plaza.  With hundreds of twinkling lights, the 15’ Fraser Fir from Pea Ridge Forest Christmas Tree Farm & Nursery in Hermann, Mo. will welcome the holiday season for shoppers and citizens alike.   The tree lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, December 2^nd at 7pm in the Clock Tower Plaza of The Meadows.  Guests will enjoy caroling by Green Tree Elementary Choir, hot chocolate & cookies, carriage rides and a visit from Santa Claus!  The event is free and all are welcome to attend.

The Meadows Announces Three New Store Openings;

LOUIS, Mo. – The Meadows at Lake Saint Louis shopping center has added three new stores now open just in time for the holiday season.  Maurices, Soma Intimates & a Brookstone holiday store will complement over 30 upscale retailers and eateries already found at The Meadows.  The Meadows is the only St. Charles County location for all three stores.  The Meadows is located at I-64/US 40 and Lake Saint Louis Boulevard.

Maurices occupies approximately 5,500 square feet on the north side of The Meadows adjacent to Von Maur.   Founded in 1931, Maurices is the leading specialty fashion store for the savvy, trend- conscious shopper. Maurices has grown to over 750 stores in 44 states across the country.

The Bryant Family of Lake Saint Louis to be Featured in Upcoming Campaign

A panel of judges selected the Bryant family from dozens of submissions to the photo contest. The family of five will represent The Meadows shopping center in a host of ads and promotions through the upcoming campaign.

“We are excited and honored to be the ‘Face of The Meadows’. The Meadows has all the stores we like to shop and we enjoy the activities at The Meadows including the concert and movie nights,” explains Paul Bryant, father of the winning family. “The kids have been telling all of their friends at Green Tree Elementary in Lake Saint Louis that we won the photo contest!”

The Bryants learned about the Face of The Meadows photo contest from their local newspaper. They took the photos for the contest while attending one of the Music on The Meadows summer concerts.

SCARECROW DECORATING CONTEST CALL FOR ENTRIES!

Fall has arrived at The Meadows and we are celebrating with the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest & Display during the last two weeks of October!  All area businesses, organizations, schools, community groups and families are welcome to participate!   There is no cost to participate, however a $25 donation to Operation Food Search will be graciously accepted.  All donations will benefit OFS’s new Operation Backpack which feeds hungry children on weekends.

LAKE SAINT LOUIS, MO — The Meadows announces a call for entries for the 2^nd Annual Scarecrow Contest & Display to benefit Operation Food Search.   Community businesses, organizations, schools/classes and families are invited to participate in the Scarecrow Decorating Contest & Display.  The life-size scarecrows will adorn the shopping center the last two weeks of October for the community to enjoy.  Entry forms can be downloaded at www.themeadowsatlsl.com.  There is no fee to participate although a $25 donation to Operation Food Search will be graciously accepted.  Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners.

In its inaugural year, dozens of scarecrows decorated the shopping center to create a festive autumnal atmosphere for shoppers and passersby alike.  The Meadows hopes to increase the number of scarecrows around the property to benefit Operation Food Search’s new Operation Backpack program which helps feed hungry area children on weekends.   Backpacks are filled with nutritious, kid-friendly, easy-to-prepare foods and given to children on Friday before school dismissal.
