The Holidays Have Arrived at The Meadows:
Caroling, Carriage Rides and Hot Cocoa Make Shopping Season Bright

(LAKE SAINT LOUIS) – The Meadows at Lake Saint Louis is ringing in the holidays with festive events that celebrate the season in style. Complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday carolers and free hot cocoa are a few highlights of the shopping center celebrating its second holiday season with over 30 stores and restaurants. In addition to the festive activities, The Meadows is proud to once again host the Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
“We are thrilled to be a top shopping destination for area shoppers because of our unique retail experience and the great mix of stores where shoppers can find something for everyone on their holiday lists,” said Bridget Geiss, Marketing Director of The Meadows. “The holidays at The Meadows are such a beautiful time of year with all of the decorations, activities and great shopping selections-it truly is where to be merry!”
The center’s charming streetscapes and more than two dozen storefronts are adorned by lights, wreaths, garland and ornaments. Visitors will be able to tour the center via free horse-drawn carriage rides – beginning the day after Thanksgiving and continuing every Saturday through Christmas. Shoppers can also sip complimentary hot chocolate from Max & Erma’s and enjoy the festive songs of caroling groups on select days. A complete schedule is available on The Meadows’ website www.themeadowsatlsl.com.
Adding to the charm of the holiday season will be the stunning Mayor’s Christmas Tree in the Clock Tower Plaza. With hundreds of twinkling lights, the 15’ Fraser Fir from SummerWinds Garden Center will welcome the holiday season for shoppers and citizens alike. The tree lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, December 4th at 7pm in the Clock Tower Plaza of The Meadows. Guests will enjoy caroling by Green Tree Elementary Choir, hot chocolate & cookies, carriage rides and a visit from Santa Claus! The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
Adorning the tree this year again will be hundreds of gold and silver ornaments courtesy of Clarkson Jeweler’s 2nd Annual Christmas for CASA fundraiser. Guests of the shopping center can purchase a $10 ornament to display on the Mayor’s Tree with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the children of St. Charles County Court Appointed Special Advocates to help fund the purchase of their Christmas gifts. Ornaments are available now through December 17th from Clarkson Jewelers at The Meadows. With each ornament purchase, guests will also be entered in a drawing for a pearl and diamond pendant, courtesy of Clarkson Jewelers.
